Lee, sorry for my incredibly slow reply - I fell off on my Apple II blogging during 2010. I keep tinkering with the game engine framework, but my main problem is my game ideas are too ambitious - I'd never finish the ones I've come up with so far given my current free time, so I'm trying to come up with something smaller scale that I'd still be interested enough in to work on - we shall see!

This was a little while ago... Did it ever get off the ground? I'd play it! :)

I've considered doing a two-word parser w/ graphics game a la the old Sierra and Penguin adventures like Mission Asteroid and Transylvania. I have a copy of Graphics Magician to handle the vector drawing.

I did write a text-only proof of concept two-word parser text adventure in Applesoft based on my old neighborhood in San Antonio. It only allowed you to navigate, get, drop, and check inventory, but worked pretty well.
