Awesome first episode. Much better than the first episode of Buzz Out Loud. This is going to be a hit, I know it, then I can retire.

  2. Andrew says:

Very entertaining podcast, but respect -3. For such easy reads (your words) you both couldn’t keep from reading the last pages of the books/Wikipedia to find out what happened?! The heart attack when a central character or relationship is “offed” without warning is part of the experience.
I encourage you to give Buffy the VS another chance

You vampire goofballs were great and entertaining – I can totally hang with you both and chat Twilight saga all day. In case you haven’t checked these sites out, they’re the best out there for Twi-Hards: http://twilightsource.com/ and http://twilightseriestheories.com/. Excellent idea to have a weekly wine choice – I recommend La Boca Merlot (2007) from Argentina (Trader Joe-friendly). Why I love the Twilight saga? It takes me back to being an impetuous tween who first read Romeo & Juliet and experiencing the highs/lows of young love and crushes.

Vampire-inspired stories have numerous common features esp. given between Twilight and True Blood. I think Twilight was likely inspired by the Sookie chronicles since it was written about a decade before the Twi-saga. I’m sure that Twilight will have a panel at Comic Con – it’s prime promo time. Go to Ebay for Comic Con tix. I’ll be at the Con but I won’t be able to wait in line for 2 days with the Twi-Hards.

Topic Suggestion: Twilight merchandise like the Edward doll (I know one of you secretly wants one) and favorite scenes in Twilight movie.

OK you got me all started on Twilight and now I have to cut it short. You have a fan in SoCal – Have fun with the podcast ladies!

  4. Dexama says:

Luv it you guys! You guys totally saw Twilight the way I did!!!! And, no, you guys havent seen obsessed. I have a (private) site, just for Twilight, so that me and all of my buddies could talk about it.
    Can’t wait tell next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. San says:

I haven’t listened yet, but no Vampire podcast would be complete without at least 4 episodes devoted to Fright Night. The greatest Vampire movie ever! Also, Lost Boys.

That Tom guy may be right for once…That’s confusing.

  6. Jen Russo says:

I listened to podcast #1 close to when it first came out. I had seen Twilight & True Blood, but did not read the books. As I was listening to Lynn and Eileen I downloaded Twilight on my kindle and never looked back! My first question, should i read the book was answered. Just downloaded podcast #2 and I am looking forward to more Biteclub now that I am more up to speed.

  7. I am disappoint with this film. My girlfriend made me take her to it and I went with an open mind. The story was terrible, a 3 year old quadriplegic could do better CGI with MS Paint, and the acting was pathetic at best. I can understand how this film could be attractive to a teenage girl without any friends but adults should hang their heads in shame if they liked this flick in any way shape or form. If you want to see a quality vampire film I suggest “Fright Night” I hope, if they make another sequel, it begins and ends with Wesley Snipes rushing in, kicking some “vampire” arse, and saving us from mediocrity and the plague known as “Twilight” – Sarah

  8. Troy says:

This stuff is cool and the words mean a lot to me…
