(aka <a href="http://www.mozomedia.com/music/category/artists/karleifrig/" target="_blank"><strong>Karl Eifrig</strong></a>) in the bands <a href="http://www.mozomedia.com/music/category/artists/newoldmen/" target="_blank">New Old Men</a> and <a href="http://www.mozomedia.com/music/category/artists/kitchensink/" target="_blank">Kitchen Sink</a>, as well as playing with Stompin’ Jim Hambone (Craig Higdon) in the moonshined-up <a href="http://www.mozomedia.com/music/category/artists/highcountrylowlifes/" target="_blank">High Country Low Lifes</a>.   In the early 90&#8217;s he played in the bands <a href="http://www.mozomedia.com/music/category/artists/pookie/" target="_blank">Pookie</a> and <a href="http://www.cafepress.com/CharlieNaked/1556080" target="_blank">Avijit</a>.</p>
<p>He produces the monthly <a href="http://www.mozomedia.com/music/about-the-podcast/" target="_self">Mozomedia Music Podcast</a> with the assistance of Craig Higdon, who plays the D.J. <h1>Songs</h1>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Never Get Clean &#8211;</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.archive.org/download/NeverGetClean/JJ_Sonick-Never_Get_Clean.mp3">Download the song</a> (right- or command click &amp; select &#8216;Save as..&#8217;)</p>
<p>Sonick: &#8220;I had the music for Never Get Clean recorded and the whole song in my head for years, but only recently (as of 5/09) recorded the vocals while housesitting for a friend, possibly disturbing the downstairs neighbor.&#8221;<br />
<strong></strong><br />
<strong>Diwata &#8212; </strong>a <a href="http://www.mozomedia.com/music/boss-us-around/" target="_blank">custom song request</a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.archive.org/download/Diwata/JJ_Sonick-Diwata.mp3">Download the song</a> (right- or command click &amp; select &#8216;Save as..&#8217;)<br />
<strong></strong><br />
<strong>Kai Balbin</strong> from Orange County, CA suggested the song title &#8216;Diwata&#8217;, which is a Filipino word for &#8216;goddess&#8217; or &#8216;fairy&#8217;, and requested the song sound like &#8216;maybe sigur ros meet radiohead meet the album leaf/roots of orchis.&#8217;<br />
<strong></strong></p>
<h1>Cultivations</h1>
<p><strong></strong></p>
<p>Sonick: &#8220;I don&#8217;t play any of the music on what I call cultivations &#8211; instead midi tracks are computer generated from various programs, and my main work is in arranging (choosing the virtual instruments and mix) and pruning and splicing (tweaking/deleting midi notes).   Cultivations are also my way of cheating to make up for my deficiencies.  Someday I hope to be able to play the stuff I&#8217;ve &#8216;grown&#8217; via cultivation.&#8221;</p>
